switching from IGS to Tier 2 - need help

i am planning to apply tier 2 next week. now iam under IGS visa and working under the same sponsor for one year. i have enough points. my wife and son is with me at present.

i am expempted from the maintanance fund. when i filled dependents application form they says intial switch you need to show funds of 533£. but when i checked the guidelines it says 37 and 38 it shows if the main applicant exempted the dependents are also exempted from the fund requirements.

when i called the home office they said no body is exempted from the maintanance requirements

any help would be appreciated
