Consultant Visiting Client as a Business Visitor?

Hello,

I need help to determine whether I qualify for a Business Visitor temporary visa. I am a US citizen and a self-employed technical consultant (developer / designer / copywriter). I am currently writing a computer manual for a computer manufacturer based in London. At the moment this is the only contract work I am performing, however I have worked with many clients in the past and can provide evidence if needed. I have sufficient funds to finance the trip.

My client has requested that I come to the UK to visit their office to do the following:

• - Learn about the company's culture to ensure the text matches their identity
  - Receive training in the use of the computer I am writing about
  - Conduct meetings with the supervisor of the project
  - Conduct meetings with the board of the company
  - Conduct meetings with the client company's designers about the design of the book
  - Conduct meetings regarding revisions to a draft of the text

I would like to visit for two weeks, and bill for my hours while I am there.

Would this type of business visit with my client qualify for the use of the Business Visitor temporary visa? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

The simple answer is yes. The business visitor visa allows you to do all that activity.
Can I suggest for technical reasons that you bill from the USA after the visit and that it forms part of your ongoing contact rather than as a distinctly different event.
