New Application for Student Visa - Help please

Post by manny83 » Sun Sep 27, 2009 5:47 pm

Hello,

I am planning to come to the UK in February to start my Masters in Information Systems at a London University.

I wanted to ask a few questions and if anybody can help me, that would be great.

I am currently in India, I had visited the UK 8 months ago when I was there for a two years WHM Visa, I returned back home 4 months before it finished.

Most of my funding is in a joint bank account in the UK, this joint bank account is with my uncle and is in the region of around 35 thousand pounds, of which 9 thousand is my own, for which I have proof, if required.

My uncle is putting up the rest of the money, does he need to write a letter to verify that?

While I was in the UK, I did apply to go to Italy for a holiday, for which I was given a Visa. However I was refused a visitors visa to Canada.

I have got a initial offer letter from the university, but I need to do my IELTS, so my proper application will be made after fees are paid..etc

Based on what I have read here and on the Home Office website, I have the funds covered 100% and will in next few weeks have all my documentation ready.

If I show all funding from the UK, will this be a problem?
Could my refusal of the Canadian visitors visa be a problem? I only apply because my uncle wanted to go and he said why don't you come along.

Am I missing anything? Could anything go wrong for me?

Please advise

Thank you

Many.

Hi

You have difficulty in proving this.So simple solution is put this in your account for 28 days and apply.

Also sponsorship from Uncle is not allowed.

While I was in the UK, I did apply to go to Italy for a holiday, for which I was given a Visa. However I was refused a visitors visa to Canada.
If you have stamped on your passport then mention in your application form other ignore this.Check your passport.
I have got a initial offer letter from the university, but I need to do my IELTS, so my proper application will be made after fees are paid..etc
No who told you.

If I show all funding from the UK, will this be a problem?
As I said if this is in your personal account then no problem otherwise you.Joint account with uncle can be a problem.

So, if I have the funds in my account only, then that is ok? My uncle has said, which ever way works for me, he is willing to put the money in my account in the UK.

I have had my account in the UK for over a year now, I have my bank statements, payslips (when I used to work for asda), etc.

when you say 28 days, does this mean I have to apply after 28days of the money being in my account? i.e. so say I submit my application on the 30th day?

I have the italy stamp on my passport, along with the schengen visa. The refusal stamp for the visitors visa for Canada is also on my passport.

So, you are saying I should mention this in my application? When you say application, do I need to write a separate letter? please clarify.
I have got a initial offer letter from the university, but I need to do my IELTS, so my proper application will be made after fees are paid..etc
No who told you.

I took advice from Study Overseas Global, who said that the IELTS is a requirement from the university and until I pass this with 6.5 bands or above, the university will not give me a final offer letter, regardless if I pay my fees in full or just 50%.

For the home office, I need a final offer letter, do I not?

As I said if this is in your personal account then no problem otherwise you.Joint account with uncle can be a problem.

Ok, like before (above), if the funds are in my account only, then it is no problem. Will they ask, where I got this big amount from? If they do, could a letter be sufficient proof?

please remember, I am showing 100% funding from the UK, I have only 3laks in my account in India.

Yes your bank account with your uncle.

I maybe wrong, but can't uncle and auntie (my auntie is my mums sister), have a joint account with me?
