Withdraw from school, reenter as visitor

I entered UK with tire 4 student visa, and am currently studying a summer course and working a placement in UK. I am struggling about withdraw from the course. Do I have to inform UKBA? My question is that since my student visa is vaild until August, so if I have to leave UK now, can I go to nearby country, such as Eurpoe, and reenter UK as a visitor? I have BNO overseas, so I can enter UK without a visiting visa. Thanks
