Extension of Tier 4 General (Student) Rejected - Reapplying

Post by kishan1990 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 5:50 pm

I am an international student and I undertook my college for 2 years for which I was granted 2 years of visas from my country. I did my exams and I applied for university, I received my unconditional offer from the University, I had to pay a deposit to receive my CAS statement which I did on the 08/09/2011. Thereafter, I have paid the full-fees in advance.

I made an application and sent it on the 14/09/2011 to extend my visas under Tier 4 (General Student). I was still required to show some evidence of funds for 28 days on my bank statement, I had the money in my bank since 2 months, however I completely forgot to send my bank statement and my visas were rejected.

My current visas expired on the 30/09/2011 and I received my documents and their decision on 07/10/2011. I have been given an option to appeal or to submit a fresh application. My course started on the 26/09/2011, and I have read this on the UKBA Office, does it apply to me or will I have to back to my country and re-apply?

If your existing permission to stay has expired. If you are already in the UK and your permission to stay expires more than 1 month before the start date of your proposed course of study, you must return overseas and apply from outside the UK. If you apply from inside the UK, we will refuse to extend your permission to stay.

I want to submit a fresh application, however I am confused as to whether I should re-apply in person or re-apply it through the post.
WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks :)
