Bank statement for Student dependent

Hi all,

I am on a student visa, and my course started in 2023 prior to banning the dependent so I can bring my dependent as per law. I need advice on two matters;

1) My student visa expires in Jan-2025. How much funds do we need to show? Could it be for 3 months?

2) Is it recommended to apply for my dependent because there is a very short duration left of my permission on a student visa.

How are you calculating 3 months? It depends on the date of application and the date the visa expires. If they apply now on 23 September, and the visa expires on 31 January, that would be rounded up to 5 months.

2) Is it recommended to apply for my dependent because there is a very short duration left of my permission on a student visa.

There needs to be enough time for them to apply, get the visa, and travel to the UK all before the visa expires.
