Effect on Naturalisation/Citizenship application

Post by mba09 » Fri Aug 16, 2013 1:58 pm

Hi members,

I really appreciate if you could kindly suggest/advise me whether the following situation affects my Naturalisation/Citizenship application?

Currently I'm on ILR, end of this year I will be eligible to apply for my Naturalisation/Citizenship.

Recently I bought a car from a trader, it worked fine on the test drive day, but unluckily it is in a bad state that it didn't start the very next day and broke down twice after that. At this time when I asked to return my money back they said I will get only 70% of what I paid to them, rest will be deducted due to their terms and conditions. I had no choice I took the car with an improper fixes to the problem. The car still has the problems and it cost me a lot to fix and do a good service. Hence I'm thinking to approach Citizens Advice bureau, take their advice and claim my money back from them.

If I approach to the Council (Citizens Advice bureau) and take the case further to get my money back, will this have any negative impact on my Citizenship application?

Sincerely looking forward to hearing from the board as soon as possible.

Cheers

No affect, you'll likely be looking at a small claims court application if they do not give you you money back.

No effect, you may want to report to "Rogue Trader" BBC.

Even if your wife leaves you, it will not affect your naturalisation
(It will actually bring more opportunities after you naturalise) ROFL
