Query for MN1 form

Hello, I have to apply naturalization for myself, mywife and my son (6 yrs old - Born abroad). For my son I have to fill MN1 form under Section 3 (1).
As per my understanding there is no residance requirement for my 6 yrs old son. My question is, Do I need to fill Sections 2 (Sply 2.3 & 2.4) in the form?
Please confirm also section 3 and 4 are not required to be filled.

Although there are no residential requirements, the application is at discretion (section 3(1)) and it would best to fill in section 2 which will show the child has been living in the UK for some time (and so it's in his best best interest is to become British along with his parents).

Sections 3 & 4 are not required.

Do I need to fill details of last 3 years or 5 years in the form? Keeping in mind, he was away more than 1.5 yrs (approx. 600 days) in last 5 yrs but only 120 days away in last 3 years. And he was not in UK exactly 3 years back.
I am bit confused. Please confirm.
