I have obtained citizenship recently.
My wife would apply soon, she currently has ILR.
Her bachelors degree is from the Ukraine, but she has worked here as a teacher assistant for 6 years in primary schools.

Does the English language requirement remain?
Which IELTS test satisfies the requirement?

Her experience doesn't matter and will not satisfy knowledge of language requirement.
Have you tried getting UK NARIC compatibility?

If she us looking to do IELTS, she can doe either one(professional or academic) as long she scores at least 4 in listening and speaking.
