Good Character Requirement

Post by PrashanthP » Mon Feb 23, 2015 10:29 am

Dear All,

I am helping my wife in filling her Naturalisation (Citizenship) application form. She is current employed as a Doctor in one of the Wales Hospitals. She has begun her contract only on the 16th of Fen and this is contract assignment.

As we live in Essex, we are putting our Essex address as 'present address'.

Anyways, in the Good Character Requirement, it requires for us to mention the employer name, employer address and Address of Tax office.

- Will that be fine to mention she is emloyed in Wales with employee address as Wales?
- We also wanted to know if we can put 'Not applicable' for the address of Tax office as she has not received her pay/salary slip.

We are also thinking of putting a covering letter explaining - Present address and Good Character Requirement? Will that be required and helpful?

Note - I have already received British Citizenship through naturalisation in 2014. My wife is applying only now.

Regards,
Prash

It aint a requirement that one needs to work in certain proximity of their residence, believe me, life would of been easy if it was!

Though your wife have not gotten a payslip yet, she can ring HMRC on 0300 200 3300 and give them her NI number which should be enough to get the info required for AN form. It takes 5 mins, take it from someone who did so less than few days ago!

All the best
