BC Citizenship of a minor

Post by Black Felines Rock » Fri Mar 06, 2015 3:02 pm

Hi,
My daughter is 16 a citizen of the EU, wishes to get her BC:
1. Can we fill in MN1 for her while me as a parent am not applying ( I am also an EU citizen with treaty rights)?

2. I have no PR card yet can easily prove treaty rights; would BOTH parents passports be required?only mine?

3. Should documents not in English be all translated? by what is an acceptable translation?

thanks

1. Yes she can apply but not likely to get it since neither of parents are applying for nationality, click here.

2. Yes both parents need to be settled, a recent post here in forum showed they are not using discretion anymore, so now both parents need to show they are settled in UK and at least one of them is applying for naturalisation along with child. They usually want one child and parent applying together.

3. Translation is compulsory and any authorised translator would do.
Being British is a state of mind.
