Does claiming benefits affect application for pr?

Hi there,

I have asked that question again, but unfortunately i didn't get an answer to that question previously, so I am sorry for bombing you with the same question again. I am almost 5 years in the UK and I want to apply for a permanent residency certificate before I apply for the British passport next year.

After reading carefully all the instructions and the application form, I am not sure if claiming benefits will affect my application. Does anybody know?? I was claiming benefits for 4 months, but at the same time I did have a private insurance (my parents were paying). If anybody knows, I would appreciate his help.
