Single Case ID for whole family - No fee for 6 weeks

Post by Loughborough » Sun Jun 14, 2015 10:27 am

Hi Guys

Want to seek your viewpoint on my situation and advice if possible.

I submitted AN forms for myself and wife and MN1 forms for our two minor children on 30th April 2015 using NCS Nottingham. The application was accepted by NCS Nottingham which means that we met the requirements of British citizen application requirements. Our applications were received by Home Office on 5th May 2015; I got the confirmation by checking the Royal Mail Tracking System. I provided my credit card details for deduction of fee for these applications. I was a Tier 2 (G) immigrant and granted ILR last year> My family got ILR as well last year.

On 28th May I received an acknowledgement email from the UK Visa & Immigration whereby I was given a case ID, and as of today no fee has been deducted and no letter for biometrics has been received. It is almost 6 weeks, it is normal?

Moreover, no case ID has been informed for my wife and our two minor kids! Is that because our application has been considered as one family application? Again, is that normal?

Any advice what next step should I take? Many thanks.

Loughborough,
I think you would have heard from HO if they had attempted but failed to collect payment.

A few suggestions - you have probably done some of these already:
Is you card valid (are you still using it)?

Check the card details you used on the application payment slip inclusding security code;

Check with bank if a large payment for the appropriate amount has been attempted recently
- if so did it fail or was it stopped by the bank?

Advise your bank to expect a large payment request in near future;

Contact HO on any contact details they provided in the email;

I think my family application (earlier this year) had a single case ID.

Good luck.
