Letter from HMPO after passport interview

Post by jabed » Sat Aug 01, 2015 12:42 am

hi, there, i have recently applied for first time british passport and had an interview on monday 27/7/15. i have tried to track the application with hmpo and the have email me following 'A letter was sent to you on the 29/07/2015 requesting that you send documentary evidence of your change of name. Please respond to this letter, enclosing the required documents and using the attached return label (affixed to the top of the letter). Your application cannot proceed until this information is received. If you have not received this letter after 7 days, please reply to this e-mail'.

but the problem is my first and middle name is intial (like d.m. mark), which has been done by my parents while i was little, however that name d.m mark is appears on my Bangladeshi passport as well as in my naturalisation certificate. i am carrying same name since i am here in UK and never has change my name.

my question is 1. does hmpo do not accept intian on any name?

2. why they are asking me to send documents where as i have never ask to change my name?

if anyone can help me please would be really greatfull

thank you

The response could be as simple as - "I have never changed by name as both my Bangladeshi passport and naturalisation certificate confirm".

That said, wait for the letter to arrive and post what the letter states.
