Query- Passport for Child documents required

Post by jassibaluja » Tue Dec 08, 2015 4:28 pm

Hi to all,

i just have few queries regarding documents to send while applying for child's first passport.
Background - Baby was born in UK before parents got their ILR. have received baby British registration certificate as well. I as a father is applying for her passport. My Queries are

1. Does grand parents details are required. i was born before 1982 but my wife doesn't and we (parents) are born outside UK.

2. Do i need to send baby Valid Indian passport and BRP as well ?

3.For evidence of parents’ immigration - do i need to send both passport and BRP for same ? Mine (Fathers) will be sufficient or do i need to send mothers passport and BRP as well?

Thanks in advance.
This forum had been a great help to us.
Regards
Jassi

1. No

2. Only Passport

3. Registration certificate for the child only. Child is British now and entitled to apply for a passport.

See Passport section of the FAQs (click) and page 12 and 13 of the Passport Guide (click)
