10 year employment history

Hi,
According to the new guidance it is now required to send P60, payslips, employment letter to prove 10 year employment. I have only managed to find records back 6 years. I'm missing records for 4 years, some employers don't exist anymore. Called HMRC and they can only give records back 5 years. What shall I do? Give a cover letter stating the reason for not sending employment records? Would they accept?
