Some advice would be appreciated

Post by bigchris23 » Tue Jul 05, 2016 5:51 pm

Hi there everyone.

I had posted before about returning docs but I just wanted to ask if there might be someone out there who could offer some advise with a bit more info.

I applied for my wife's citizenship at the end of May and Biometrics were completed and returned 11the June. God knows why but I missed the NCS information until after i'd posted the application (stupid I know).

Judging by current progress reports from other members, we'd be looking at 1st/2nd week of august for approval. My fathers birthday in France is the 12thAug so trying to decide wether to request docs back and risk delaying the application for god knows how long, or wait for the approval and hope it comes in time.

I guess what will tip it over the edge is has anyone had experience with getting the docs back after approval and did they come back with the decision letter or were they much later in arriving? If its the later and they won't be returned with the decision, we might have to request them be returned now and hope it won't delay the application too much.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated as always.

Many thanks

Chris

I'd request them back. Asking for your docs back should not normally delay the application.
