British citizenship

Post by AdamK » Wed Jan 11, 2017 7:18 pm

Good afternoon

I am a British citizen otherwise than by descent (naturalized) however currently I live in Poland and my baby will be born in Poland as well. Can I pass automatically British citizenship (by descent) to my baby born abroad?

Many thanks
Adam

For one generation, yes. So your child will be born a British citizen, but his/her children born abroad will not be.
I am not a lawyer or immigration advisor. My statements/comments do not constitute legal advice. E&OE. Please do not PM me for advice.
