Naturalisation and Passport joint application Query

Post by foundpokemon2016 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 4:13 pm

I got a NCS appointment next week for my wife as a dependent and we are opting for a naturalisation and passport service at the same appointment

My query is the NCS officer asked us to bring the passort application along with Naturalisation application but however unsure as she said that we need to pay at postoffice for passport application

Can anyone clarify if we need to just pick up the application from postoffice, fill it up and take to NCS appointment? and then go back to post office to pay the passport application ?

As NCS officer told to pay at postoffice as they dont deal with passport applicationfee, please suggest what is usually way for collecting, filling and submitting the passport application when doing the NCS joint appointments

Thanks

You only pay the Post Office to enroll biometrics. The passport fee leaflet that you have to complete to pay is at the Post Office in the same envelope as the passport form.

Can anyone clarify if we need to just pick up the application from postoffice, fill it up and take to NCS appointment? Yes, with the completed passport fee leaflet.and then go back to post office to pay the passport application ? No.

As NCS officer told to pay at postoffice as they dont deal with passport applicationfee, please suggest what is usually way for collecting, filling and submitting the passport application when doing the NCS joint appointments Pick up the form, complete form and fee leaflet and submit at NCS.

Thanks

Does one of the referee need to be on ILR?

Post by foundpokemon2016 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 9:20 pm

Hi

For Naturalisation application we need 2 referees, got one of my friend with BC working for an IT company as Developer.

But as we need one of the referee to be having a professional body, I have my other friend who is a director of a limited company with Indian Passport but only on Tier 1(not even ILR). Does one need to be on ILR to be a referee or is it ok to have him as one of the referees?

Please advice. Thanks

The professional referee can be of any nationality but must be of good character (no convictions, abide by visa rules etc).
