British Passport recd/Interview call

Hi members,

My wife received her British passport yesterday and today she received a letter from HMPO to attend an interview as part of her application process.

I feel there is some miscommunication as the letter states that she needs to book an appointment for an interview before receiving her passport.

She went through JCAP process to submit her application at local NCS and had her ceremony done last week.

Has anyone received something similar?

Is it normal to call for an interview after receiving the passport?

Certainly doesn't sound right - suggest you call them and explain.

Called HMPO on weekends and they confirmed it is definitely an error from their end.
Someone who's been through a JCAP need not attend an interview.

Asked us to ignore/discard the letter.
