Hi,
Can anyone please share their experience if any?
I applied for my citizenship in June 2018, using the NDRS + JCAP through another council. HMPO deducted my passport application fees on the 24th of July 2018.
Today, I got a letter of invitation to a citizenship ceremony from my council with a date of the ceremony confirmed on the letter:
1. I am yet to receive the citizenship approval letter from the office - Is this normal?
2. Am I right to think that my citizenship ceremony is supposed to be held at the council where I submitted my application instead of my local council registered to my postcode?
I know in the application form you are asked if you would like have your ceremony in a different council and I ticked the option "NO". Butt I thought this meant the council where I submitted my application- No?
3. Will the home office return my original life in the UK Test with my approval letter? When I submitted my application using the NDRS + JCAP, I was told by the council that I have to submit the original letter of pass of the LITUK Test ad I was given a copy, but was told HO should return the original once my application is completed.
4. Will the passport be sent by HMPO after I attend the citizenship ceremony or will it be sent regardless?
I would really appreciate if someone can share their experience or help answer my questions.
Thanks,
