Hi all - first time posting on here! I hope I am posting in the correct thread. Received ILR earlier this month based on 5 year Spouse route, and will be applying for naturalisation next month, as it says we can do so right after ILR if married to BC.
In regards to Good Character requirement, I am a bit stuck - I have received speeding and parking tickets in the past in the USA (where I am from), but nothing in at least a decade, and I couldn't possibly say when they were. All fines were paid at the time, and no convictions were ever made or gone to court. I have even paid for a copy of my current driving record from my home state, which shows nothing on it. However, there is the possibility that something could be on my 'lifetime' record, as these FPN's did occur many years ago (I am unable to obtain this record, but the current one is the one that would most likely be used in a background check anyway).
My question is, do I mention these in the application? Does the HO check with your home country about speeding/parking fines? If I do need to mention it, I honestly don't even know what to say as I can't give any estimate of dates, and honestly don't even know how many parking tickets I have had in my life as they were all so long ago. I have so far had no trouble since moving to the UK in 2013. Greatly appreciate any input on the matter. TIA.
