I need help regarding 1st referee for citizenship application for child.
I recently got ILR on basis of Tier 2, my son who is 2 year old was born in UK so he is eligible to apply for UK citizenship.
Section 5 of form MN1 says that 1st referee should be a professional who should know child in professional capacity such as teacher, health visitor, social worker, minister of religion.
My son does not have a teacher or social worker. Not able to find minister of religion in the area. I asked health visitors and local GP to fill in the form but they said they no longer do so. Please advise:
1. Who else can act as 1st referee for child. Home office given list of professionals who can be referee but to my understanding that is for applicants above 18 only?
2. Can any other Doctor like consultant in hospital fill the form? Can solicitor ( not dealing with application) or commissioner for oath can do so?
Please give your expert opionion about this
If anyone faced similar situation, what they did? Please guide.
Thanks
