Child's British Citizenship Confused which route to take

I am non-EEA citizen (South African) and next month I will be applying for PR with my Polish wife which will be main applicant.
We have a 1 year old son and we are confused which route to take.
Do we include him with us inPR application or should we go British citizenship route as my wife is EEA citizen and in February she will be here 5 years.From 'what I have read is that could work too.SHOULD WE FILL IN MN1 application for our son and apply for PR just for two of us (my wife and I)
Anybody with similar or same experiences?
