Obtaining British passport for children born ouside the UK

Hello all
I got my citizenship and my British passport back in 2012, since then, I’ve moved back to Syria where I got married. I’ve two children (5 and 3 years old) both born in Syria . Although I’m British passport holder my wife does not have a British citizenship ,

1- Do my children have the right for citizenship and passports?

2- Do I apply for their passports directly or do they have to be registered or naturalized first?

3- Because of the war in Syria, the British embassy is closed, can I apply in the UK through a friend? And how long does it take if I applied in or outside the UK?

3- what i mean by a friend applying , is i fill up the applications and post them to a friend to submit them to passport office in the Uk.

1- What kind of evidence of my status apart from my passport and citizenship certificate would i need for my part?
2- what kind of claim to British citizenship for the children do they need?
Ive my marriage certificate and their birth certificates ( all translated and certified by Syrian foreign office ) ,

Their claim is British by descent based on you being British otherwise than by descent.

they will need to know how you became British in the first place , were you Born in UK or Syria ?
