Naturalisation application - Place of Birth

Hi all,

I am currently applying for British citizenship but have a problem with my place of birth.
On Swiss passport, there is no mention of the place of birth, instead the "place of origin" (ie, where my father's family originate from) is displayed.

Should I leave this blank or input my place of origin to answer the place of birth question? Has anybody else had that situation?

Do you have a Swiss birth certificate and does it note the actual place of birth?
If so enclose a copy if place of birth is different from place of origin in your passport - best to give an explanation.
Though I would think you are not the first Swiss national to apply for naturalisation.
