English requirements

Post by Umc » Thu May 23, 2019 9:52 am

I already have ILR , I find the English requirement a bit confusing, in the paper version of application for naturalisation it says if one has life in the UK test, and any of listed proof of English test or if one has met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement on or after October 2013. I submitted my ielts academic written few years ago and degree when I applied for ilr. In the online version, if you click degree as proof of English it will ask for UK naric statement which was not required when I applied for ilr. The question is can I still use my old ielts or do I take a B1 test. But the ielts academic is higher than B1.

If ILR granted after 2013, you already qualify. Upload the old certificate if asked but it will not be required anyway
