Spouse passport - for UKVCAS appoinment

Post by kkb79 » Thu Sep 26, 2019 2:53 pm

Hi,
I am in the process of filling my application for Naturalization. I have an ILE status and I am applying within my capacity of being the spouse of a British Citizen born in UK (hence, no naturalization certificate). My husband is doing a project abroad and is out of the country mostly and hence his passport is with him. His travel plans to UK are uncertain and I am not sure I can plan my appointment based on his presence in UK.

1.) For my application, I can get scanned digital version of his passport from him. Can I upload it online itself instead of taking it in person for the appointment?
2.) If I have uploaded my docs online, do I still need to produce his original passport for my appointment with UKVCAS or for any other procedure that follows? Is it ok to take copies of the spouse passport to the appointment?

Anyone who has some info regarding this? Also, I am struggling to find a helpline which will answer my queries.. any leads anyone? Thanks in advance! Cheers!
