Kids British Citizen Application Form - Query

Post by itk » Sun Oct 15, 2023 10:25 pm

Good evening all,

Please I need guidance regarding my kids' British Citizenship Application. when I applied for British Citizenship, I did it for myself and my spouse and I am now in the process of making the online application for my kids but a bit confused about the application form for them as one is on indefinite leave to remain while two where born here in the UK. My question is, do I use the same application form for all 3 of them?

1. The first kid is 14 years old and has Indefinite Leave to Remain
2. The second and third child are 8 and 6 years old respectively and were born here in the UK before I became settled in the UK.

Can anyone point me to the application form to apply for each of them or do I use the same application for all 3? Many Thanks

Itk.

The application is on form MN1 - online: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1666111005
You can add all three children on this form - there's only one form.
Please all review the MN1 guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... 1-guidance

Many thanks @alterhase58 for responding so quickly. I'll commence the application now I know the form to use. God bless!

Please I have one more query for my first child's application. I don't know which of the options below I should tick for her. She was born in 2007 outside the UK and I got my British Passport in 2019. Please any idea which options I should choose from below?

You were born in the UK

You were born outside the UK

- Your parent is British by descent and lived in the UK or a British Overseas territory for at least 3 years before you were born

- Your parent is British by descent and you and your parents (unless they are legally separated) are now living in the UK or a British Overseas territory

- You were born on or after 13 January 2010 and your parent was serving in the UK armed forces

- You were adopted abroad by British citizen parents

- You were born before 1 July 2006 to a British father and your parents were not married

- One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship

- Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary
