URGENT Calculating days away - whole days or including days of departure/return?

Hello, I am applying for naturalization soon, but I potentially have too many days away in the last 12 months before applying, depending on what I input as departure/arrival date. Is it only full days away from the UK that I need to input? I had many small trips for business, and the number potentially doubles if I include the flight days as full days away

For example, if I leave London Friday night, out of town Saturday, out of town Sunday, return Monday morning:
-Is this 4 full days away? That is what the application calculates if I put in Friday/Monday.
-Seems like it is only 2 full days out of the UK

Departure and arrival days don't count.
In your example it's 2 days, Fri and Mon are travel days out/return.

So for clarification, should I put in the Friday departure date or Saturday departure date (the first full day)

And Sunday return date, or Monday return date

Think of it differently: Full days start Saturday - finish Sunday.

You have to put in the actual dates you departed and came back, but only count as days of absence the days you were fully absent (so in this example, departure is Friday, coming back Monday, 2 days of absence)

The system sums it up for you when you add your exact departure/ arrival date. You don't need to do the mental sum.
