Tax office reference number

Post by Almuszka » Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:38 am

Hi,

I just started working and don't know my tax reference number, neither can find it on my payslip. Would it be okay to leave it blank?

Also, to explain my new work situation, I work for a company via an agent. So, I was wondering if I should provie tax reference number for the agent or the company I work for. I dont have the Tax reference number showing on the payslip therefore not sure who I should ask for one.

Kind Regards
Alma

Ask the agency that employs you. If you can't track it down you can always leave it blank explain in a cover letter - employment is not a statutory requirement for naturalisation.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
