Questions about passport application and old passport

Hi all,

I received the confirmaiton letter of my British citizenship in early January, will have the ceremony in mid February. I will apply for the passport straight after that, here are my questions:

1. When I'm waiting for the British passport can I still travel with my existing passport? I'm holding a BN(O)holder.

2. Will it take long to have the interview + the waiting time for the applicaitn process? 3 weeks? Because I want to attent fd's wedding end of March.
