Child naturalisation

I will be very greatfull if I can be helped as regards to the above subject.

I intend to log in an application for my son for naturalisation. His details are as below.

He was born in the UK (2007) 4 years now.
He was on student dependant visa, then left the UK for about 2 years, while he was out his visa expired. In Oct 2010 he was granted dependant visa in my country.

My wife is on the dependant spouse visa granted in August 2010 based on my ILR which I got in June 2010.

I would like to ask if my son can have his application for neutralisation accepted based on the fact that I have the ILR and he was born in the UK. My concern is that he was out of the UK for 2 years.. does this have an effect on his application.

Your help will be appreciated.

He was born in the UK, has a parent with ILR and is aged under 18.

He appears to meet the requirements for registration as a British citizen under section 1(3) of the Act. Apply now if interested, before laws and/or his circumstances change.

Thanks for the quick reply, just one more question. Someone told me that if I apply for my Child neutralisation, he does not need to go through council ceremonies and it is less than £150. but looking at the UKBA fees that is £500.

Has someone done this for that amount?

Adults apply for naturalisation as British citizens.
Minors apply for registration as British citizens.
Minors are not required to attend the citizenship ceremony, but may do so if they wish to.
The fees for registration of a minor (single applicant) is currently £500 and is proposed to be increased to £540 from 06-Apr-11.
