MN1 without PR

Post by blabla » Wed Aug 24, 2011 9:20 pm

Hi: I need help to know how to apply for my son's BC.
I am married to a portuguese man 2003. I have got PR in Jan 2010.
My son come into UK 2004 not EEA son. Got residence document 2007 to 2012. He is being here since then sudying.
I am going to apply for my BC and want to apply for my son aswell but he does not have his PR yet. I thought he has got it when I apply for him. He si going to turn 18 in less than a month. I want to apply as a minor.

It is possible to left the question about indefinite leave to remain blank???

He may try.

If your is naturalisation is successful, then he may succeed too. Else, he may try for naturalisation when he's 18 or over.

MN1 without PR

Post by blabla » Thu Aug 25, 2011 4:13 pm

Thanks, vinny. What will happend if I do not send any docs from my EEA. As in 3.13 question say parent who is an EEA , but he is not my sons biological parent. Can I left this blank as well???. and explain.??. I have got enough evidence that my son has got strong connections with this country, report from school, he is working aswell, and has his english girlfriend.

That may be a problem. Naturalisation requires evidence showing that you had acquired PR for at least one year.

Your son probably automatically acquired PR with you. However, he probably cannot apply for MN1 if your naturalisation application fails. He may qualify for naturalisation when he's 18 or over.

Hi Vinny: I have got my PR already, is my son who has not got it yet. Unfortunately when I appply for my PR I did not include him, I thought he had it already. I make a mistake. That is why I need to know if he can get his BC without it or not.
