can a child of student mom register british n dad 10yr ILR

Post by Tina LI » Fri Sep 02, 2011 7:30 am

Hi
Child is 5 yrs old - born in UK, is currently dedendent of student mom
Dad got 10 year ILR in Aug 2011 (After child's birth)

Can child register as British without applying ILR and mom apply as dependent in the same time?
OR child and mom apply as dependent together?
OR does child need to wait mom's dependent visa to be able to register?

What is the best option?
What are draw backs of these?

BTW visa will expire in the end of Sep 2011

Thanks a lot

On what date was child born?
Is dad married to mom?

Thanks Vinny

Can we post mom's dependent visa and child's registration in the same envelope?

Is it wise to get ILR as well? And what are the benefits of getting ILR?

thanks

No. They are different applications, going to different destinations?

ILR is not necessary for child's registration.

The child is not eligible for ilr -there's no need anyway as child entitled to register as British citizen.

Your FLR M should be posted separately to the address on the form.

Thanks guys
So can child's registration be sent with copies of mom and dad's documents as mom's FLR (M) has to be sent at the same time?
Both are death with UKBA isn't it?

Thanks
Tina

If not sending originals, then use certified copies. Include explanation in a covering letter.
