Naturalisation for 2 years child who born in India

Post by lovely143 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:58 am

Hello,

My wife, my child and I are on PR from August 2010. My child was born in India in Oct. 2009 and came to UK in April 2010. I have stayed in UK since 2002 but my wife came to Uk in Feb 2007. When I can apply for Uk naturalisation for wife and My child? Please help me as I need to apply for them.

British Citizenship is a privilege not an obligation. You don't need to apply for it if you don't wish to. You can stay with an ILR.

Have you been naturalised as British ?

I haven't applied yet. I am planning to apply in next couple of days. If we all can apply in Feb., we will do that but if I can't apply for my child, then I will apply mine for now. I am just thinking which way is better and cheapest option.

See similar case here.
The cheapest option is to waif for February 2012 and apply jointly with your wife. Your child can apply together with either parent (either now with you or in February).
