Documents to send for child passport applications after MN1

Post by nedian21 » Fri Dec 09, 2011 5:35 pm

I and my wife recently got our ILR. Our daughter was born here in the UK and I have now received her citizenship certificate after MN1 was successful.

Now I am applying for her British passport. There is a bit under section 4 of the form that if both parents are born abroad then details of grand parents should be provided in Section 8. Is this necessary especially after her MN1 application was approved and I will enter her certificate information in section 5 of the form. Should I leave section 8 blank as all 4 of her grand parents are non British citizen?

Also what documents should be sent? Do I need to send in our original passports (non British) and marriage certificate? Also should I enter details of my daughter previous non-British passports in section 3 and send her original passports with this application?

I was thinking to only send her original Birth certificate and citizenship certificate as these entitles her for a British passport. Can someone please confirm?

Thanks

Don't enter grandparents detail.
I would send birth and registration certificates and child current passport.
Remember about countersignee.
