Hi all.

I am planning to apply for naturalisation by the end of April, based on 5 years (work permit) + 1 year (ILR). However, although my wife will have completed the 1 year (ILR) by the end of April, she will complete the 5 years period in the UK by the end of June.

Can we lodge a joint application by the end of April or does she have to wait until the end of June to fulfil the 5 years requirement?

Possible but better to wait till both of you qualify.

I contacted the Home Office and they said she will have to wait until she completes the 5 years requirement.
