Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance for reading my post and if you can guide me on this situation.
I have got my ILR in March-12 and as our son is born in UK, we applied for his naturalisation with MN-1 form in end of March.
Now I have a situation wherein we as a family will be visiting India in June-2012.
We are worried that the naturalisation for my son may get delayed beyond 12 weeks time so what would be the best option for us to visit India.
I am thinking of options which i need guidance on;
- To go to India on his Indian Passport & while in India get a Visitor visa to UK ? Is this something can be done?

Thanks

P

Minors apply for registration, not naturalisation.

Will the child return to UK after the "short holiday"? or will he stay for longer (e.g. - 4-6 months or more)?

If the former (short holiday), then the options:
1. Apply for leave to remain before the child travels, or
2. Else, the child will need to apply for Settlement visa, in line with 304 - 309, from outside the UK before travelling back.

But if the latter (4-6 months stay, at least), then submit MN1 and subsequent British passport applications in home country.
