expired passport and ceremony

1. please tell me if I can use my expired passport with ILR as ID to attend citizenship ceremony(no other photo ID and not enough time to renew old passport
2. what question they ask to check your ID before ceremony, is it as complicated as passport interview? my husband is worried a lot because his spoken English is very poor.

Because there will be a short interview to check a person's identity before ceremony.

To my experience there is no interview at the ceremony. They only check your ID with invitation letter and ask you to take seat

He may however, want to read through the oath before the ceremony.
