If she is wrong then I agree with you she does needed to, sitting in homeoffice and giving wrong info to the applicant, imagine if someone apply and let say they loose all their fees for nothing

I dont know why I got the feeling that the people see in UKBA customer service are mostly dont know about what they talking about

Why he needs to wait for 12 months after getting ILR ? I have read the naturalisatoin requirement from the UKBA

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/brit ... uirements

But the have not mentioned anything about 12 months wait.

Residential requirements -

1. been resident in the UK for at least five years (this is known as the residential qualifying period); and
2. been present in the UK five years before the date of your application; and
3. not spent more than 450 days outside the UK during the five-year period; and
4. not spent more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months of the five-year period; and
5. not been in breach of the Immigration Rules at any stage during the five-year period.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME FROM WHERE THE 12 MONTHS WAIT AFTER ILR RULE COME FROM ?

Thanks,

Immigration time restrictions

You must be free from immigration time restrictions when you apply for naturalisation. Unless you are married to or the civil partner of a British citizen, you should have been free from immigration time restrictions during the last 12 months of the residential qualifying period.
