Dear Friends,

I am Non EEA person who is recently naturalised and planning to apply for first adult passport and need clarification about below.

The below statement is mentioned in DirectGov website

"If your name has changed and doesn't match your birth, naturalisation or registration certificates, you'll need to provide evidence of your name change. The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) will need to see documents showing both the date of and reason for your name change"

I have two passports

1) which I entered UK (Cancelled) with previous name
2)current passport with new changed name which has ILR stamp

My naturalisation certificate will have my current name (which I will recive after ceremony)

There is no difference in name between naturalisation certificate and what I will be mentioning in british passport application.

Please let know still I need to show proof of change of name ?
if yes can I show my overseas affidavit or do I need to get affidavit done in UK ?

Many Thanks.

No. As stated in the quote you referred to - this is only required if your name has changed from the one in the naturalisation certificate.
