Sorry to repeat myself, but when u said no problem, does it mean HO should not refuse his application on the grounds of his passport expired during assessing his case.
Please throw some light,so i can fearlessly put forward his application in couple of days.
Thank you for ur help

I assume your child was born in the UK. There is no requirement to have a valid passport (or passport at all). It will not affect his application.

Yes he born in UK,during my HSMP visa, then we got indian passport for him.Concurrently,he received same visa like me and my wife.Last year, all of us got ILR stamped on our passport and been 12 months now,I was trying to fill out application form and I realised his passport is about to expire by end of october(for children passport expires in 5yrs).Thats when worry setting in about his application may get rejected on basis of invalid passport.
Hence I wanted to make sure his application goes well.
Therefore,I wanted expert advice from you guys. This is the full story, which may help you analyse my case thoroughly.
thanks

As I said, whether his passport is valid or not (or his visa is valid or not), has no affect on the application.
I suggest you read
Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - Children.
BTW - there is no need to wait 12 months after ILR for children. He could have applied for registration as BC the day one of his parents had ILR (he didn't need to have ILR himself).
