Hi,
I applied for one fast track for my son's passport at IPS, London and it is more than a week now, and when I rang they told me they are waiting for a letter to sent to countersignatory. My friend has not recieved any such letter from the passport agency.

Today, I rang again and they told me to apply for refund as it is delay now and lthe etter is sent by second class post.

I am so angry, I have more wasted roughly 3 weeks for the appointment thinking I might get passport in a week time as I need to travel.

Can anyone please advise me, how long more it will take now, if my friend gets the letter say by Wednesday?

Many thanks.

Thats really strange. IPS normally contacts the counter-signatories over the telephone. How old is your son and is there any reason, you think, they have sent the letter rather than following normal procedure?

Yes, you are right.
Passport agency did call my friend around 7:30pm on Thursday but he was in pub and he told them it is not right time to talk. So they told him we will send you letter for confimation.

I have no other option but to wait for letter, now it is normal send and check process.

I wasted 3 weeks and 47.5 pound also..

It's a shame your friend chose not to take the call. :?
