Dear All,

I am applying for British Citizenship, In November 2009 i was fined by Underground for not having valid Ticket, the penalty fine came through Court and I have paid that fine then.

1.The question is, Does it have any effect on my Citizenship application?
2. Should I mention it in my application or ignore it as it is more than two years?

Question 2: Concealing an unspent conviction would be illegal. Regulations state that "caseworkers should count heavily against an applicant any attempt to conceal the truth" (in other words: if they find out, and they probably will, you are in trouble). Either gamble on caseworkers discretion or wait until it becomes spent in Nov/14 - then you can omit it.

What court was that? A county court or magistrate's court or .... ?
And explain the sequence of events that lead to the matter (offence) being dealt with by a court.
