Dear all,

We(me,wife and kid) recently became a british citizen by naturlization.

My parents who live in india are indian citizens.

I am wondering whether we can naturalize our parents as british citizens?

they will have to through the same path as you, so the answer is yes you can.

Your parents cannot immediately apply for naturalisation on the basis that you have become British citizen yourself. They need to go through the same process you went through before obtaining your ILR and becoming naturalised eventually. However, I know that they may apply for ILR if they meet the criteria as enlisted and discussed here:

I am not an immigration law expert so I'm sure our more senior members would be able to give you more advise on this.
