I seek your kind assistance to advise on the following;
I am a mother of under 16 child and we would like to apply for British citizenship and passport after getting ILR but my child passport has expired and can't get new one.
Will UKBA accept his application with expired or without passport?
Thank you for your help

How old the child is and when has the passport expired? Was the child born in the UK?

So in that case, as John said - not an issue.

Is there any limit to expired passport.
I am asking because my daughter who is 05 years old has expired passport. The passport expired 02 months ago at the end of september 2012. She was born here in uk. We (husband wife and daughter) have ILR.
I need to apply for our next stage in March 2013, which I think would be registration. I have to find the details of that as well.
Thankyou

The expired passport is not a problem.
No sure I understand the reference to March 2013. As soon as one or both parents have ILR the form MN1 can be submitted, for the born-in-the-UK child. Except do you also have older children, born outside the UK, and want to submit the forms MN1 at the same time, in order to reduce the applications fees?
As regards making MN1 applications, have a read of
this UKBA webpage and the links thereon.
Child born in UK .... section 1(3) ... children born outside the UK (if any) .... section 3(1).
