AN from item: 1.12 Village or town or city of birth:

but my passport has it in the format under the line

Place of birth: village district state

(This is how the home office has on their CID record as well.)

But whenever home office asked in previous forms, say on SET(O)

But now filling the AN form (the guide say:

1.11 – 1.13 Enter your date of birth, the village or town or city where you were born, and the country where you were born. Please take care over these entries as they will appear on your certificate of naturalisation. If they are different from the details shown in your passport/birth certificate you should explain why on page 13 of the application form. N.B. Place and country of birth names shown on the certificate will be names in current acceptable use (and will be in English where an English version
exists).
---------------------------------
Problem is:
(1) if I fill exactly as appears on my passport: I run short of space by one box'. Should I extend(draw) the box by a pencil and fille the last letter in ??
Has anyone had problem with the long names, if it doent fit in the columns !!

(2) Shall I just fill the village name ?

I had a similar issue while trying to fill my mother's current and maiden name on the form. The lady the NCS advised me to write in small letters and spread over two line (one below the other).
