Hi,
My professional reference marked date as 24/JAN/2013. AN application guidelines say all dates should be as 24/01/2013.
Will this be problem and requires a change?

No. The date is still clearly recognisable and unambigious. That page is probably not machine readable, so what. An application will not be rejected because one of your references used a slightly different, yet perfectly correct format in the correct field.
