I am due to register my 2 kids as british citizens using form MN1 under section 1(3).

My background: "My 2 kids aged 9 and 5. They were both born in the UK (I was overstayer at the time).
I was granted ILR in 2009. I managed to get my 2 kids Indefinite Leave to Enter. There mother(my wife) is on a 2 year spouse visa"

The question: Do I need to send a marriage certificate amongst the required documents. Our marriage was only registered traditionally. we do not have a marriage certificate from this country. Only 1 from abroad. would this be acceptable.

Thanks in advance for your help.

See the last question in Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - Children.

The certificate is required for the 9 yo child application.

Not sure what you mean by only registered traditionally. If it is legally recognised in the country it took place, it would be recognised by the HO. I suppose you already used it for the spouse visa without problems. Should not be a problem here.

Thanks Jambo. I have got a recognised marriage certificate from my country. If it was used when my wife was applying for spouse visa.
This solves the problem then.

Thanks for your help !!!
